Quizlet is available on a wide variety of devices -- computers, smartphones and tablets. We have official apps for iOS and Android, and our website is optimized for many different browsers on computers running Windows and Mac.
The Quizlet website fully supports the following browsers:
- Google Chrome (versions 49 and above)
- Mozilla Firefox (versions 58 and above)
- Apple Safari (versions 10 and above)
- Microsoft Edge* (versions 15 and above)
*Edge users creating diagram sets will not be able to use Add a shape, as it’s not available on this browser.
We recommend using the most recent version of Chrome, Firefox or Safari. Please note that Internet Explorer is no longer supported.
Unsupported browser banners
If you’re using Internet Explorer or an unsupported version of Safari or Edge, you’ll see a banner at the top of the page prompting you to switch to another browser or update the one you’re using. If that isn’t an option, you can temporarily dismiss the banner and continue to use the website -- but some or all of the website’s functionality may not work as expected.
Quizlet’s iOS and Android apps
Quizlet offers native applications for iOS and Android devices, including iPhones, iPads and a variety of Android phones and tablets. These apps are updated every two weeks, and we recommend using the latest version available on your device so you have access to the newest features and don’t encounter issues affecting earlier app versions.
Quizlet for iOS
We’re currently developing new versions of the Quizlet iOS app for devices running iOS 10 and iOS 11 and 12.
Quizlet for Android
If your device is running Android version 4.4 or below, the last compatible version of the Quizlet app available for you to download from the Google Play store is 3.10.4. If your device is running Android version 4.1 or below, the last compatible version of the app you can download is 2.5.2.
Some devices running on operating systems older than Android 5.0 may experience trouble using the Quizlet app due to internet-wide security updates. You can read more about these changes here.
Which browser does Quizlet recommend?
While the Quizlet website works well on all of the browsers listed above, we recommend using Google Chrome -- which is available for Windows and Mac.
Can I use Quizlet on my Kindle Fire?
Quizlet no longer supports the Kindle Fire, and we aren’t actively updating our app available for download in the Amazon App Store. However, you can use the Quizlet website to study on your Kindle Fire’s Silk browser.
